Hi. Some of you may know me from our January performance of ‘Babe’ - or if you go to the library where I spent too much time (I miss it). When we agreed to set up this group, I could never have guessed at how many people would offer to help, as well as the wonderful work that is going on throughout the village.
I retired from Oxford Brookes University recently from my role involving working with alumni and running large events but I never thought I would be doing this. Thank you everyone.
Hello! Some of you, or your children, may have been taught by me at Wheatley Primary School under the name of Mrs Wilson where I worked from 2002-2018. I re-married in January 2019 hence the surname Bale. Since I moved to the village in 1989, I have been actively involved in Wheatley Productions, Garsington Players and now Holton Players so you may have seen me on stage in a variety of guises.
The positive response from so many in our village has been inspiring. I have seen it recently too while fund-raising for the Revival Project. It is wonderful to see how a crisis can bring out the best in people – this is a special place to live and I’m proud to be a part of this community support group.
Hi everyone. I’m delighted to be part of this initiative and I’d like to give a huge thanks to the many local residents who have offered to help. The response has been totally overwhelming, and I feel privileged to be part of this amazing village.
Some of you might know me from Wheatley Park Sports Centre, where I have taught fitness classes for more years than I care to remember!
I am on my own now, since losing Paul 15 months ago, but I have my little dog Pepper, who is my constant companion. You might have seen us walking round the village/in Westfield/up on Shotover.
If there is one thing that I love it is a problem that requires the use of technology and this current situation requires just that. My background is in IT support and administration for various Oxfordshire based companies. For the last 5 years I have been in the US project managing various IT projects which has set me up well to tackle the various aspects of a support network. Having had experience volunteering for a political campaign while abroad I am trying to use this knowledge to build a website and robust database for the Wheatley Support group.
I look forward to working with the great people of Wheatley, a place where I grew up and will always call home.
