Food Delivery

Alex MacKay

Alex Mackay, our local celebrity chef, is doing some amazing things in the village. Every Friday he’s cooking a hot meal for all staff at The Triangle care home, as well as a critical care nurse friend and family, his immediate neighbours, a couple of friends in their 70’s, and a week’s worth of meals for an 87 year old whose wife died a while ago.

What a star he is, and how lucky we are to have Alex in our village. He will always help out if you know of any frontline workers, particularly NHS staff, who live in the village and would appreciate a hot meal delivered to them once a week.

Contact him through us at admin@wheatleysupportgroup.co.uk

Firstly, thank you for supporting local suppliers in this difficult time. We have introduced this home delivery service with two goals in mind: To ensure that fresh bread & bakes are always available to elderly & vulnerable people, as well as the fantastic key workers that can't get out to the shop in time, and to reduce the footfall to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Would like to let all our customers know that for the foreseeable future our shop will remain open from 9am until 2pm. This will be monitored on a daily basis.
